We are fiddle (and viola, cello, bass, mandolin, guitar, harp - you name it) players of all ages and stages who meet to play tunes from the Scottish diaspora. We play together, some of us perform together, we share tunes, we have a lot of fun - and we make CDs. Our fourth and fifth CDs both won Golden Fiddle Awards for Best CD. MSFC meets once a month to share tunes, learn the techniques of Scottish music and, most importantly, to eat cake!
We perform regularly at folk festivals across the country. Some people come just to the monthly meetings. There is no obligation to perform. You are welcome to attend as little or as much as you like, but once you've hit the festival scene, you may find it addictive!
