Description: |
You told us a year was too long to wait for another fun filled night of ceilidh dancing and we listened! We’re back with the Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club, featuring all new dance set tunes, on Thursday 1st December 2022 to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day. Our high energy CEILIDH DANCE will again be at Collingwood Town Hall Ceilidh (pronounced “Kay-lee”) comes from the Gaelic for ‘gathering’ or ‘party’. A traditional ceilidh may have included dancing, poetry, stories and music. These days a ceilidh is usually centred around dancing – Scottish style. You don’t have to be experienced, there is always someone else there you can follow. It’s all about having fun! But be warned, it’s addictive and once you start you won’t want to stop. The Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club’s lively performances combine a mix of traditional and contemporary music that will have you on your feet from the moment they begin playing. |
